Patrick Daniel the Monkey

Some people wonder why humans are so different while animals are so similar. These people don't babysit monkeys. Over the years we thought we had some pretty good ideas about monkey personalities. Then comes little Patrick Daniel. Patrick is a capuchin monkey who doesn't quite fit the profile. Usually capuchins grow up slower than other breeds, like to stick close to home, and tend to be a bit laid back. Not little Patrick. He plays by himself very well, but he loves company. Usually inquisitive monkeys are very intense, but Patrick studies everything but somehow doesn't end up fixation. He is a great eater (another common problem) and hasn't fussed over a single person. It's going to be very interesting to see how he grows! Unfortunately for us, he's already gone to his new home to live with Daisy and Toby at the Shepperson zoo. The good news is that he'll still be close enough that we come to visit. He's getting to live with another newborn baby so he'll have plenty of company!
