Our final morning at Naylor's Beach after three wonderful years happened to coincide with the Naylor's Beach Triathlon. For the locals, it's a full-support event and Dan was back out there in a kayak to help keep swimmers safe and on-course. But this year turned out to be harder than most: an uncharacteristic early thick fog delayed the start of the race and forced the competitors to start in less-than-optimum conditions. The delays meant that the current was running against them when the swimmers made their final turn towards shore. Many of the competitors were swept downstream where they then had to swim even harder to get to the end of the stage. All of the competitors made it and it was fun to watch them in all aspects of the race!
