In between eating and gambling, we managed to go the bayou for a swamp tour where the guide tried to catch an alligator with his bare hands. Bob bought a new hat for the occasion. If you decide to go, don't let the tour bus pick you up at the hotel: just go to the little staging area in the French Quarter and save yourself a ton of time.
