Columbia River & Cannon Beach
Another red-eye from Portland meant I had a
little time. So it was off to a leisurely drive along the famed Columbia River.
After a while I realized I was following the Lewis
& Clark trail. For those of you not familiar, Lewis and Clark lived a just a
short distance from our home in Richmond. Even today portions of the Columbia River
are relatively remote and you can't help but be amazed at what a journey this must have
been 200 years ago. I also got to stop by Cannon
Beach in Oregon on the way back: one of my favorite places in all of the
Northwest.
