The World Cup was being played
and the locals took it very seriously. The plaza at La
Defense (where the Grand Arch is located) had a big screen where
people were watching the match. Keep in mind, this was 2:30in the
afternoon and the place was packed. (Korea vs. Italy: who knew?)
No wonder America leads the world in worker productivity - no
major sporting events in the middle of the work day!
