Most foreigners think of Nice as
small beach town on the French Riviera. Nothing could be further than the truth:
Nice is a huge city with a big, vibrant downtown are and a history stretching
back to Greek and Roman times. The urban area is densely packed which makes the
huge crowd-filled beaches even more unusual: imagine sitting at a Starbucks in
Manhattan as people walk by in bikinis carrying inflatable floats. Or coming out
of a Macy's and seeing topless girls stretched out before you. It's a unique
experience and certainly worthy of a longer stay.
