St. Augustine

The nation's oldest city isn't Jamestown like many assume - it is lovely St. Augustine, FL. Which was basically an indian fishing village that was overtaken by the Spanish who promptly then wiped out a local French fort.  St. Augustine is one of those neat little port cities with more history and things to do than you can possible squeeze in for an afternoon.  We got a little lucky and managed to find a parking spot for the RV right next to the fort and the river.  That meant a little time to explain some old buildings and the historic City Gates Plaza.
