NASA was running the 'Summer Slam' at Virginia International Raceway (VIR).  It turned out to be an unfortunate choice of words as a brake bolt failed and send Harry into the wall at over 100MPH.  He wasn't seriously hurt, but the car - only recently repaired from earlier damage at VIR - suffered significant damage.

Overall it was a tough weekend.  Bobbie's car had problems.  Weird stuff like a battery terminal clamp breaking.  The pink car also got in a little fender-bender with a Miata who didn't see Dan passing on the inside corner while he raced in the small bore race.  Then the car threw a belt and almost fried the car.  Fortunately, it made it back around and Bobbie was able to drive it on Sunday.  Dan raced again on Sunday after starting from the back in the pink car, he had a nice run up through the back of the field and picked off some fun cars.

Getting the Cobra back together is going to take some doing.  We'll see what we can do.  Right now, racing isn't as much fun as we had hoped!
