Once again it was a weekend with promise, but uncooperative cars.  Bobbie and Dan both returned to action by racing for points:  Bobbie with a new engine and Dan with a new suspension.  Saturday brought rain which was a help for Bobbie as the other guys didn't get to use their fancy tires and she was rewarded with her best finish ever in 944 Cup: 13th in class and 21st overall.  Dan nursed along the eVisory Cobra with a missing a cylinder but managed to still set a personal best lap record and garner a hard-fought sixth.

Sunday was dry and fast.  In qualifying Dan ended up getting slight tap and came in when he heard a noise.  An inspection of the car revealed nothing, but when the race came, the car made an awful grinding noise in turn one and the u-joint came apart by turn 6 to bring Dan to a stop on the side of the track.  Bobbie's luck was any better:  a loose bolt for the air cleaner ended her qualifying.  We thought it was fixed but it came off early in the race again.  Yet again:  two DNFs.  Sigh.

At least we picked up Lilianna and got some finishes.  Hopefully the Coupe will be ready soon.
