Dan's Life

Dan was born in Great Lakes, Il just outside of Chicago. Born into a military family, he was promptly moved to suburban San Francisco (Vallejo) and then Denver where his sister Debbie was born. Other stops included Bainbridge, MD and Raleigh, NC before the family settled in Virginia Beach.

Dan went to several different elementary schools in Virginia Beach, but managed to go to just Brandon Junior High School and Green Run prior to graduation after two years of high school. He was a champion debater and top sprinter in cycling. From there it was off to Virginia Tech to study Physics.

Dan left college early and ended up moving to the Raleigh/Durham in North Carolina where he was a consultant for various companies in the Research Triangle Park area.

After moving to the Washington, DC area to join a defense contractor, Dan lived with Doug Lucy in Alexandria before moving to a condo in Burke, VA. While in DC, he was very active in the Crystal City and Virginia Jaycees where he met numerous good friends.

Finally Dan ended up in Richmond. Ironically, Dan had sworn that Richmond was probably the one are in the country he would not move to. (Richmond is not the prettiest city if all you see is the interstate). Dan lived in Mechanicsville before moving to Richmond's Fan area. The Fan was an attractive choice since Doug Lucy was nearby to help with corruption.

When Dan began dating Bobbie he was living in an old house at 1812 W. Grace Str. The homeless guys camped out back and looked after his cars. Dan didn't really have any furniture and his office was upstairs in the back of the house. Still, the house was pretty large and it had a nice safe backyard for Elbert and Barley.

Thus ended Dan's single days as he began married life with Bobbie!
