2006:  What Racing is All About

The 2006 season had both highs and lows:  typical of any race season.  We started off the year poorly, but made progress with all of the cars - especially Bobbie as she earned her first top 5 finishes to close out the season.  Harry moved from instructing back to racing and worked through a little rust while he got back to enjoying the thrill of competition.

The SCCA tried to disallow the Coupe from competing in the 12 Hours of Summit Point so we didn't really run it much while we fought through some overheating with it.  The new eVisory Cobra proved to be pretty fast but we got wrecked at Nationals and spent more time repairing the car than we did racing it.  Still, 2006 was a season where we were competitive all the time.  A few wins, a few blown engines, a few crashes.  That is racing.

One final note:  On April 8, 2006 we lost a dear friend in Dan Lawson in an accident at the Buttonwillow race track.  Dan was a terrific guy and a big part of our racing life.
